Description:

Size: 15-16 cm in length with a 23-24 cm wingspan.

Plumage:  Generally gray with a black chin and eye smudge, pink bill, chestnut-streaked mantle, and white underside. Thin white wing bars are visible in flight. Females and juveniles lack the black facial markings. The legs are tan and the eyes are black.
