Bean Goose

Distribution: Russia and northern Scandinavia in summer; discontinuously in central Europe and central and east Asia in winter.

Description:

Size: 69-88 cm in length with a 140-174 cm wingspan. Males average 3.2 kg while females average 2.84 kg.

Plumage: Mostly gray to bluish-gray. Wing feathers are bordered with a thin bright white edge, and some subspecies have a white rump. Legs are orange to pink, and the bill is black at the base with a pink upper tip. Eyes are black with no visible eyering.
