Distribution

Found on the following Caribbean islands: Bahamas, Cuba, Jamaica and the Turks and Caicos Islands, where this bird is locally known as Sinsonte de Bahamas, Sinsonte Prieto or Sinsonte Prieto Spanish (in Cuba). They are vagrants to the United States.

  • Mimus gundlachii gundlachii (Cabanis, 1855) - Nominate Race
    • Range: Bahamas, Camagüey Archipelago (north coast of Cuba) and Turks and Caicos Islands
  • Mimus gundlachii hillii (March, 1863)
    • Found in Southern Jamaica.
