Warblers and gnatcatchers (old world) sylviidae

The bird family Sylviidae includes the is typical warblers in the genus Sylvia, the Asian parrotbills, various babblers, and the North American Wrentits.

Distribution

Most of them are found in Asia and some in Africa. A few range into Europe - and one family  (the Wrentits) occurs on the west coast of North America.

Description

The members of this family are small to medium-sized with a slender shape; their plumages are generally plain; and their bills pointed and thin with bristles at the base.
