Frigatebirds fregatidae

Frigatebirds are large seabirds with iridescent black feathers, long wings and deeply forked tails. The males are readily identified by their inflatable red-coloured throat pouches called "gular pouches", which they inflate to attract females during the breeding season.

Frigatebirds occur naturally over tropical oceans. Since they can't swim, they remain in the air for most of the time, landing only to roost, feed or to breed.
