He loves to sit on the tomato wires in my Father’s 100% organic garden. My parents do NOT have feeders in their yard. I have never seen him eat bugs or drink the nectar from a flower. He will fly to the front yard and look at bougainvillea but I’ve never witnessed contact. He does fly to a couple of other yards in the neighborhood but he always comes back to us. He appears to be very social with other hummers ... We predominantly have Anna’s and Costa’s in the Coachella Valley. I thought this might be a male Anna's."
