The Terrestrial Brownbul (Phyllastrephus terrestris) occurs naturally in the following African countries: Angola, Botswana, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Somalia, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Their preferred habitats are subtropical or tropical dry and moist lowland forests and moist shrubland.
