Keeping a toy chest and rotating toys is a a great way to enrich your bird's environment. So don't discard a toy just because your pet is ignoring it. FREE stuff, like pen tops, bottle caps, empty boxes, etc. make GREAT "foot toys" for your pet bird.

My lovebird wouldn't be without it -- and it's so cute to see him "go to bed" in it every day; and peak out in the morning when it's time to tackle another day. It's his safe place; the place he can go to when he is ready to "snuggle up" for the night, or simply needs some protection from the cold. One word of caution -- most of the time your bird will start chewing (i.e., customizing its bed / toy) and strings may come off and hang down. Watch out for those and cut them off.
